Your Rights Under GDPR

The UK GDPR provides you with specific rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Be Informed

You have the right to be informed about how we collect and use your personal data. This is provided through our Privacy Policy and this GDPR notice.

Right of Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. This is known as a Subject Access Request (SAR). We will respond to valid requests within one month.

Right to Rectification

If you believe the personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction. We will respond within one month.

Right to Erasure

Also known as the "right to be forgotten," you can request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as:

  • The data is no longer necessary for the original purpose
  • You withdraw consent (where consent was the legal basis)
  • You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds
  • The data was unlawfully processed

Right to Restrict Processing

You can request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances, such as when you contest the accuracy of the data or object to processing.

Right to Data Portability

Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you can request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

Right to Object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing at any time. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

Rights Related to Automated Decision Making

You have rights regarding automated decision-making and profiling. We do not currently use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

  • Consent: You have given clear consent for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose
  • Contract: Processing is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract
  • Legal obligation: Processing is necessary for us to comply with the law
  • Legitimate interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party, unless your rights override those interests

  • Marketing data: Until consent is withdrawn
  • Website analytics: 26 months
  • Enquiry data (no engagement): 2 years

International Transfers

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

  • Transfers to countries with adequate protection determinations

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security of your personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
